You Voted for This: This Is Exactly What You Voted For

Posted onOctober 11, 2025October 11, 2025Authorlbanister63079

You voted for this.

This is a new phrase I keep hearing lately — people saying, “I didn’t vote for this.”
I see it online, I hear it in interviews, I read it in the comments.
My message is simple: this is exactly what you voted for.

For the people upset that families are being torn apart and deported — and even citizens are being treated like outsiders in their own country — yes, you voted for this.

For the people watching some of the best and brightest foreign college students lose their visas or green cards, forced to leave the country they’ve studied and contributed in — yes, you voted for this.

For the people watching LGBTQ+ rights being chipped away — yes, you voted for this.

For the people shocked that qualified professionals have been replaced by loyalists and sycophants — yes, you voted for this.

For the people who are upset that Jimmy Kimmel almost lost his job over free speech - just like Stephen Colbert, yes, you voted for this.

For the people outraged that universities are being bullied, grants are being cut, and academic research is being dumbed down — yes, you voted for this.

For the people afraid of the safeguards the Department of Education provides under Title IX — protections for students with disabilities, LGBTQ+ youth, and survivors of discrimination — yes, you voted for this.

For the people who swore the Epstein files would finally be released, only to watch Ghislaine Maxwell chilling in a cushy, country-club prison, feet up, sipping margaritas — yes, you voted for this.

For the people upset about terroristic threats rising while American farmers and small industries are struggling to survive — yes, you voted for this too.

For the people upset that thousands are about to lose their health care at the end of the year — yes, you voted for this.

For the people outraged that a podcaster gets more sympathy than all the families of gun-violence victims combined — yes, you voted for this.

For the people upset about how Trump mocked and rudely addressed the leaders of our armed forces — yes, you voted for this.

And for the people realizing that their own military is being used to intimidate, detain, and turn against its own citizens — yes, you voted for this.

You were warned. Project 2025 wasn’t a secret. It was public, detailed, and easy to find. People told you to read it — you didn’t. You decided it didn’t matter because you thought it wouldn’t touch you. You were willing to let others suffer so long as you thought your gas prices stayed low or your taxes dropped.

And for all the podcasters who helped build this mess — the Joe Rogans, the Theo Vons, the Adin Rosses — don’t pretend you had nothing to do with it.
You handed that man the biggest megaphone in the world. You gave him your platforms, your audiences, your credibility. You made this possible because you saw the clicks, the money, the fame.
Now you want to say you didn’t vote for this? You did. You helped create it. And now the rest of us are the ones who have to live with it.
